Super Reds held to a draw

Super Reds failed to gain much ground on the teams above them after being held to a 0-0 draw at home to Woodlands Wellington.

Having shut out league leaders Singapore Armed Forces in a 2-0 defeat last time out, the Super Reds were looking to pull closer to Gombak United five points above them in fourth.

However, while the defence did its job the home side failed to get going in attack and drew a blank against a side who conceded four times on their last away trip in a 4-0 mauling by Geylang United.

The Reds are now four points shy of Gombak having played two games more, while the point does little for Woodlands too, leaving them fifth from bottom having played one game more than teams around them.
