Ankaraspor opened the new Super Lig season with a late 1-0 victory at Antalyaspor.
The match appeared to be heading for a stalemate when Murat Tosun popped up in the 89th minute to score the winner.
Trabzonspor also made a successful start to their campaign, beating last season's runners-up Sivasspor 2-1.
Selcuk Inan (10) and Ceyhun Gulselam (78) netted for Trabzonspor with Yannick Kamanan replying for the hosts.
Ceyhun Eris grabbed a double as Ankaragucu played out a 2-2 draw with Diyarbakirspor, who got on the scoresheet through Adnan Gungor and Andres Mendoza.
