The Vancouver Canucks were even more convincing winners as they ended a three-game losing run with a 7-1 triumph over the Montreal Canadiens.

The Canucks were in total command after the first period, goals from Ryan Kesler, Mason Raymond and Steve Bernier putting them 3-0 up.

Henrik Sedin scored twice in the second sector to give Vancouver a 5-1 advantage going into the final period before Mikael Samuelsson and Alex Burrows completed the rout.
