
Bursaspor climbed above Galatasaray into second place in the Super Lig after thrashing eight-man Istanbul Buyuksehir 6-0.
Omer Erdogan (12) and Ozan Ipek (16) put hosts Bursaspor in early control and Pablo Batalla added a third shortly before half-time. Volkan Sen made it four after 65 minutes, Turgay Bahadir (74) added the fifth and Ali Tandogan wrapped it up with nine minutes to go.
It was a day to forget for the visitors, who had Kanfory Sylla, Ibrahim Akin and substitute Okan Buruk sent off in the second period.
The defeat for Istanbul allowed Besiktas to move above them into thanks to a 1-0 win away to Eskisehirspor. Ekrem Dag got the only goal for the Black Eagles.
