Top seed Gisela Dulko cruised past Sandra Zahlavova in the quarter-finals of the WTA Copa Sony Ericsson Colsanitas in Bogota.
But third seed Sara Errani was ousted by Arantxa Parra Santonja.
Argentinian Dulko, looking to go one better after finishing runner-up in the Colombian capital last year, saw off Czech Sandra Zahlavova 6-2 6-3 to secure a last-four clash with Angelique Kerber.
Kerber, the fifth seed from Germany, was a 6-1 6-4 winner against unseeded Frenchwoman Pauline Parmentier on Friday.
The other semi-final will be between Parra Santonja, who overcame Italian Errani 7-5 6-2, and Colombia's Mariana Duque Marino, who beat seventh-seeded Czech Klara Zakopalova 6-0 7-6 (7/4).
