
Second seed Juan Carlos Ferrero advanced to the semi-finals of the ATP Copa Telmex in Buenos Aires on Friday.
Ferrero, who dropped just one game en route to victory over Lukasz Kubot in the Brasil Open final on Sunday, defeated fellow Spaniard Santiago Ventura 6-3 3-6 6-2 on the Argentinian clay to reach the last four.
The 30-year-old will next face either fourth seed Juan Monaco or eighth seed Horacio Zeballos, who had barely got under way today before the rain came. The Argentinian pair will resume tomorrow level at 1-1 in the first set.
Also on Saturday, top-seeded Spaniard David Ferrer will take on Russian sixth seed Igor Andreev for the right to face Spain's Albert Montanes in the last four.
Montanes progressed on Friday after his opponent, Argentinian David Nalbandian, pulled out of the tournament with a leg injury.
