Nanjing will host the second Youth Olympics in 2014 after winning a vote in Vancouver.
The Chinese city - also known as Nanking - beat Polish rival Poznan in the vote by the International Olympic Committee.
Nanjing, with a population of six million people, succeeds Singapore, which hosts the inaugural Youth Olympics this August.
