Marti takes German Open lead

A third-round 66 helped Spain's Paula Marti take a one-shot lead at the HypoVereinsbank Ladies German Open on Saturday.

Marti racked up seven birdies to go round in six under par and progress to 14 under for the tournament, one shot ahead of playing partner Martina Eberl.

The German, playing on her home course, shot a 66 but overnight leader Johanna Westerberg will go into the final round four shots off the pace after slumping to a 74.

That put her on 10 under, the same as England's Melissa Reid, who shot a 71.

Reid's countrywoman Trish Johnson moved up to nine under as five birdies on the front nine helped her to a round of 67.

France's Jade Schaeffer is six shots off the pace while Anne-Lise Caudal and Emma Cabrera-Bello are tied seventh on seven under.

Wales' Lydia Hall equalled the best round of her career with a 66 to move up to six under, the same mark as Marianne Skarpnord, Katharina Schallenberg and Tania Elosegui.
