Hamburg 4-1 Borussia Dortmund

Three goals in the first 12 minutes saw Hamburg claim an emphatic victory over Borussia Dortmund.

The hosts drew their opening game at Freiburg last week while Dortmund had a narrow win over Cologne.

Today Bruno Labbadia's Hamburg took just three minutes to go ahead after Piotr Trochowski's cross hit Jose Pablo Guerrero on the leg and the ball went in.

However, the visitors were level within a minute when Nelson Valdez headed home Jakub Blaszczykowski's cross.

Six minutes later and Hamburg were again ahead when former Bayern Munich midfielder Ze Roberto saw his shot saved but made sure with his follow up.

And after just 12 minutes, Hamburg were 3-1 up when Guerrero got his second when he shot high into the net from summer signing Eljero Elia's centre.

Ze Roberto almost scored again shortly after but his long-range shot was saved.

It was all Hamburg and the second half continued in the same vein, Elia hitting the bar from close range and then lifting another effort over the top.

However, with just under 20 minutes to go Hamburg were 4-1 up when Ze Roberto's shot was spilled by the goalkeeper and Markus Berg pounced.

With three minutes left the hosts almost added a fifth when Marcel Janssen saw his shot saved by the keeper.
