Anderlecht made it three wins out of three in the Jupiler League with a 3-0 victory at home to basement boys Westerlo.
Jelle Van Damme opened the scoring in the 28th minute and Matias Suarez doubled the hosts' advantage a minute before the break.
Mbark Boussoufa added a third in the 73rd minute.
AA Gent dropped their first points of the new season as they were held to a 1-1 draw at Genk.
The visitors will see it as a point gained rather than two lost, though, after they found themselves a goal down after just seven minutes and then a man down after 40.
Moussa Koita put Genk in front and Gent then had Adriano Duarte sent off.
But Zlatan Ljubijankic earned them a share of the spoils with a 53rd-minute leveller.
Club Brugge also lost their 100% record as they went down 2-1 at 10-man KV Mechelen, who moved level on six points with the visitors.
Things looked bleak for KV Mechelen when Wouter Vrancken was dismissed in the 16th minute, but the 10 men took the lead two minutes before the break through Jonas Ivens.
Club Brugge equalised with a goal from Joseph Akpala two minutes after the restart, but Julien Gorius won it with a 54th-minute penalty.
Milan Jovanovic hit a hat-trick as Standard Liege hammered Roeselare 5-1.
The Serbia international put Standard ahead with a 17th-minute penalty after Brian Vandenbussche had been sent off for their opponents.
Samir El Gaaouiri levelled midway through the first half, but a Mehdi Gonzalez brace before the break and two more from Jovanovic after it gave the defending champions victory.
Elsewhere, Cercle Brugge came from two goals down to snatch a 2-2 draw against Zulte-Waregem, Dominic Foley netting a last-minute leveller.
St. Truidense picked up their first win of the season, 2-1 at lowly Lokeren.
