Tiger Woods, Paul Casey, Geoff Ogilvy, Camilo Villegas, Retief Goosen and new US PGA champion YE Yang have all qualified for the Volvo World Match Play Championship in Spain in October.
The six earned the right to play the 16-man event as the leading players from different regions of the world and will now decide whether they are available or not.
They join Ernie Els and Scott Strange. Els qualifies as the 2007 winner at Wentworth - it was not held last year - and Australian Strange as this season's winner of the Volvo China Open.
The other eight spots and any vacancies will be filled later off the world rankings and European Tour "Race To Dubai" money list.
