Greek Super League Review

Panathinaikos drew level with Olympiacos at the top of the Super League after Kostas Katsouranis scored twice in a 2-1 win over PAOK Salonika.

Katsouranis' 23rd-minute opener was cancelled out by Adelino Vieirinha for the visitors, but he struck a second 20 minutes from time as Panathinaikos extended their unbeaten start to the season with a seventh win from eight games.

Fifth-placed PAOK had Vladimir Ivic sent off late on for two bookable offences as they suffered a second loss of the campaign.

Sixth-placed AEK Athens were held to a 1-1 draw at Aris Salonika.

Sebastian Abreu scored for the hosts after five minutes and Ignacio Scocco levelled three minutes into the second period, while Aris had Dario Fernandez dismissed five minutes from time as he picked up a second yellow card.

Levadiakos claimed their second win of the season with a 1-0 defeat of Iraklis.

The 15th-placed side's goal came through Thanassis Moulopoulos after six minutes, while Iraklis ended the contest with 10 men as Emmanouil Papastergianos saw red in stoppage time.

Zdenko Strba and Spiros Vallas were on target as FC Xanthi beat Kavala 2-1, with the visitors' strike coming from Elias Ioannou.

Each side ended the game with 10 men as Giannis Papadimitriou was sent off for FC Xanthi for two yellows and Pierre Ducrocq was dismissed for Kavala.

Larissa picked up their second victory of the season, winning 3-1 at Panthrakikos.

Christos Melissis, Shimon Abuhazira - who was later sent off - and Aleksandar Simic scored for Larissa, while Panthrakikos' reply came from the penalty spot through Robert Bertrand after they also ended the match with 10 men following the dismissal of Moktar Diallo.
