Coupe de la Ligue Review

Bordeaux came from behind to secure a 3-2 win over Le Mans as they booked their place in the Coupe de la Ligue quarter-finals.

Anthony Le Tallec had given the hosts the lead in the fifth minute but Yoan Gouffran levelled matters for the Ligue 1 champions 10 minutes later and Yoann Gourcuff gave them the lead shortly after the half-hour mark.

Joao Paulo ensured Le Mans went in at half-time on level terms when he equalised in the 38th minute but Jaroslav Plasil scored the winner five minutes after the break.

There was further misery for Le Mans as Joao Paulo was handed a straight red card in stoppage time for a poor tackle from behind on Gourcuff.

Bordeaux now have their chance to exact revenge over Sedan, who knocked them out of the Coupe de France quarter-finals two years ago.
