Bochum 0-0 Nurnberg

Bochum continued their poor home form as they could only manage a goalless draw against struggling Nurnberg.

Heiko Herrlich's side have managed only two wins at the Ruhrstadion this season and today they drew against opponents who were reduced to 10 men when Albert Bunjaku was sent off three minutes from time for his second yellow card.

Bochum had an early chance when Matias Concha found Stanislav Sestak in the centre of the penalty area, but he could not control the ball and shot straight at Nurnberg goalkeeper Raphael Schaffer.

The visitors responded, Banjaku sending a shot wide before Domanic Maroh put a header to the left of the goal from Ilkay Gundogan's corner.

Both sides then sent shots wide, Christophe Dabrowski for Bochum and Eric Choupo-Monting for Nurnberg, before the hosts were prevented from making a breakthrough a minute before half-time when they were thwarted by Schaffer.

Milos Maric sent in a corner from the left which was met by Christoph Dabrowski inside the six-yard box but his effort was parried by Schaffer who then saved the follow-up from Sestak.

Javier Pinola and Choupo-Monting both shot wide for Nurnberg as both sides searched for the breakthrough.

Again, Nurnberg were indebted to Schaffer when he met Christian Fuchs' free-kick from six yards but he was thwarted by the visiting keeper.

The visitors were then reduced to 10 men when Bunjaku was sent off for kicking the ball away to add to his first-half booking for a foul.
