Daniela Hantuchova set up a semi-final against fellow Slovakian Dominika Cibulkova after surviving a tough last-eight match at the Monterrey Open.
Second seed Hantuchova, seeking her first title since winning at Indian Wells in 2007, was a slow starter but went on to beat American Vania King 2-6 6-2 6-1.
Cibulkova, seeded fourth, beat Hungarian Agnes Szavay 3-6 6-3 6-3.
Russian Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova also advanced to the last four, the third seed rolling past Czech opponent Klara Zakopalova 6-2 6-2.
The semi-final line-up was completed when Latvian Anastasija Sevastova fought back from a set down to eliminate France's Alize Cornet 2-6 7-5 6-1.
