Metalist ease to win

Metalist Kharkiv started their Superliga campaign with a 2-0 win at Obolon Kiev this evening.

Edmar de Lacerda opened the scoring four minutes before the interval and Denis Oliynyk sealed matters 18 minutes from time.

Tavriya Symferopol also enjoyed a 2-0 triumph, at home to Metallurg Zaporizhzhya, courtesy of second-half goals from Olexander Kovpak (penalty) and Ruslan Platon.

Finally, the match between Metallurg Donetsk and Dnipro finished in a goalless draw.
