Tigers dominate rain-affected day

The Bangladesh bowlers made inroads on the third morning of the second Test against West Indies at St George's.

After resuming on 56 for one, the hosts slumped to 124 for five at lunch - a lead of 129 - with rain curtailing the morning session.

Shakib Al Hasan took two wickets to add to the one he claimed on Saturday night to leave the hosts in trouble.

Bangladesh got off to a good start when Omar Phillips was out having added 12 to his overnight score.

Slow left-armer Shakib bamboozled him with a turning ball which Phillips (29) could only lob to Mohammad Ashraful at deep backward square leg.

Travis Dowlin, who made 95 in the first innings, looked composed again but wickets continued to fall at the other end.

Ryan Hinds (two) and captain Floyd Reifer (three) came and went quickly before Dowlin himself was trapped leg before wicket by Enamul Haque a run short of a half-century.

David Bernard added some impetus to the innings with an unbeaten 17-ball 16 while Darren Sammy was not out at six when it started raining.
