Rain scuppers Newport progress

Rain dominated the day at the Campbell's Hall of Fame Tennis Championships in Newport today as no matches were completed.

After a lengthy delay, Sebastien Grosjean won the first set of his match against seventh-seed Kevin Kim, 6-4, but a fresh wave of thunderstorms soon ended the day's play.

Germany's Philipp Petzschner led Argentina's Horacio Zeballos 6-4 3-4, while Samuel Groth of Australia leads Brazil's Ricardo Mello 7-5 0-3.
