St Truidense moved to the top of the Belgian Jupiler League with a 2-1 home triumph over Anderlecht.
Goals from Cephas Chimedza and Ibrahima Sidibe put the hosts two goals to the good within eight minutes, with Roland Juhasz's 83rd-minute strike proving little more than consolation for the visitors.
The result sees St Truidense lead the way by one point from Gent and Anderlecht.
Gent enjoyed a comprehensive 5-1 victory over nine-man Roeselare this evening, M'Baye Leye bagging two goals and Randall Azofeifa, Zlatan Ljubijankic and substitute Stijn De Smet notching one apiece.
Roeselare, who had Damir Mirvic and Stepan Kucera sent off in the first half, responded only through Bjarni Geir Vidarsson a minute from time.
Standard Liege moved up to fifth with a 3-0 win over KV Mechelen.
Mehdi Gonzalez struck twice in four minutes after the break and Eliaquim Mangala grabbed a third midway through the second half.
Elsewhere, Cercle Brugge romped to a 4-0 victory at 10-man Charleroi.
The hosts never recovered from the 12th-minute dismissal of Mahamadou Kere and went down to goals from Sergiy Serebrennikov (penalty), Oleg Iachtchouk and Jelle Vossen (two).
Leon Benko and substitute Christian Benteke were on target for KV Kortrijk in their 2-0 win at Zulte-Waregem, while Adnan Mravac's solitary strike saw Westerlo prevail 1-0 at Excelsior Mouscron.
