Dallas too strong for Oakland

The Dallas Cowboys cemented their place at the top of the NFC East with 24-7 rout of the Oakland Raiders in Thursday's NFL action.

Tony Romo passed for 309 yards and two touchdowns with Miles Austin catching seven passes for 145 yards and a touchdown for the Cowboys, who are 8-3 for the season.

It marked the fourth loss in five games for the Raiders, who failed to build on last weekend's win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

The Green Bay Packers claimed their third successive win, convincingly beating the Detroit Lions 34-12.

The Packers (7-4) pulled away in the second and third quarter, scoring 27 unanswered points with Aaron Rodgers throwing three touchdown passes.

Kyle Orton and Knowshon Moreno touched down as the Denver Broncos eased past the New York Giants 26-6.

Matt Prater also kicked four field goals as Denver halted a run of four straight defeats.
