A-League Friday Review

Central Coast Mariners were unable to maintain their recent goalscoring form as they were held to a goalless draw by Perth Glory.

The Mariners had gone into the game on the back of two successive victories that had seen them score nine goals but they were unable to continue that against Glory.

The visitors had the best chance of the first half when Mile Sterjovski's rasping drive smashed against the post with Mariners goalkeeper Danny Vukovic beaten.

The Mariners, meanwhile could have won it near the end when Nicky Travis sent a fine cross for Matt Simon in the 85th minute but the Australia international failed to get his effort on target.
