Bryant reigns as Lakers win


Kobe Bryant bagged 29 points as Western Conference leaders the Los Angeles Lakers earned a 118-96 win over the Indiana Pacers in the NBA on Wednesday.

Andrew Bynum contributed 27 for the Lakers, who led by just three points after the second quarter before pulling well clear.

Roy Hibbert had 21 points for the Pacers.

The Cleveland Cavaliers, who head the Eastern Conference, were 109-95 winners over the Minnesota Timberwolves, aided by 23 points from JJ Hickson.

Corey Brewer top-scored for Minnesota with 22.

The Toronto Raptors recovered from trailing by 11 points after the first quarter to post a 111-103 win over the Miami Heat.

Andrea Bargnani poured in 27 points for Toronto, while Dwyane Wade's 35 points and 10 rebounds was not enough for the Heat.

The Chicago Bulls won their fourth road game in a row with a 96-86 success over the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Derrick Rose scored 26 points for the Bulls, while Kevin Durant led the Thunder with 28.

The San Antonio Spurs saw off the Atlanta Hawks 105-90.

Joe Johnson helped the Spurs on their way to victory with a 31-point haul.

Marc Gasol's 25 points helped the Memphis Grizzlies to a 99-93 win over the Detroit Pistons.

The New Jersey Nets beat the Los Angeles Clippers 103-87 thanks to a career-high 25 points from forward Kris Humphries.

Brandon Jennings and Charlie Bell poured in 18 points as the the Milwaukee Bucks edged out the Philadelphia 76ers 91-88.

The Denver Nuggets overturned a two-point deficit going into the final quarter to claim a 97-92 win over the Houston Rockets.

The Utah Jazz were 106-95 winners over the Portland Trail Blazers, never looking back after winning the first quarter 37-16.

Chris Paul poured in 38 points as the New Orleans Hornets beat the Golden State Warriors 123-110.
