Kim takes early lead in Mexico

Song-Hee Kim has taken a two-shot lead after the opening day's play at the Lorena Ochoa Invitational in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Kim finished seven under par with a round of 65 after getting off to an explosive start with five birdies on the opening nine.

Three players are tied for second on 67. Mariajo Uribe's scorecard was marred by a bogey on the 14th while Paula Creamer needed an extra shot on the par-five third.

Jiyai Shin had seven birdies but was undone by bogeys on the eighth and 16th.
