Zimbabwe, USA register victories

Zimbabwe crushed Hong Kong by 137 runs in the 13th place Playoff of the ICC Under-19 World Cup at McLean Park.

Zimbabwe posed 235 as Andrew Lindsay (43) and Peter Moor (46) added 89 runs for the fifth wicket to lead the team's charge. And then Simon Mugava hit a quickfire 38 to take Zimbabwe past 200-run mark.

While chasing, Hong Kong just could not put up any resistance and got bundled out for 98 in 37 overs.

Natsai Mushangwe finished with impressive figures of 4 for 18.

Meanwhile, the 15th place Playoff between United States of America and Afghanistan was virtually reduced to a no contest.

After electing to bat, Afghanistan got all out for a mere 86 in 33 overs as USA bowlers in Hammad Shahid and Saqib Saleem took three wickets apiece.

USA achieved the target in just 15 overs, with opener Steven Taylor top-scoring with 30.
