Borussia Dortmund ended a three-match losing streak with a comfortable win at home to Hannover.
Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp had issued a rallying cry on the eve of the visit of the Bundesliga strugglers and got exactly what he wanted as his side look to get their faltering bid for a Champions League spot back on track.
Neven Subotic scored a late first-half opener before an own goal and Nelson Haedo Valdez's strike made it 3-0. Arouna Kone pulled one back late on before Kevin Grosskreutz completed the rout.
Dortmund striker Lucas Barrios carved out the first opening seven minutes in but his shot from eight yards was saved by Florian Fromlowitz.
Egypt attacker Mohamed Zidan crossed for the same striker in the 11th minute and Barrios, in acres of space, saw his header go just over.
Zidan was in amongst it again three minutes later, slipping through the defence but sending a shot narrowly wide.
Left winger Nuri Sahin took on the Hannover defence to cut inside for a shot but again, the effort from more than 20 yards was off target.
A fallow period followed until the 43rd-minute breakthrough.
Jakub Blaszczykowski saw a close-range header saved by Fromlowitz at the expense of a corner and Sahin floated the ball in for Subotic to head home powerfully.
A quiet second half burst into life on the hour mark.
Zidan took a Dortmund free-kick which hit Hannover defender Mario Eggimann, with the ball then hitting the post and deflecting into the net.
A third followed in the 77th minute. Patrick Owomoyela attempted to lob Fromlowitz and, though the keeper managed to make the save, substitute Valdez tapped in the loose ball.
Hannover pulled one back with their first real opportunity of the match in the 81st minute.
With the Dortmund defence seemingly having switched off, Ivory Coast striker Arouna Kone collected Christian Schulz's pass and, in lots of space, sent a right-footed shot into the bottom corner.
Dortmund finished on a high, however, as Mats Hummels played it forward from the back for Grosskreutz and the winger produced a lovely finish to round off the scoring.
