Ribery denies wanting Real move

Franck Ribery has rubbished reports that he has been hard at working, attempting to make the jump to Real Madrid.

Ribery was involved in a interview with TV channel TF1, and vehemently denied that he made contact with people from Los Merengues, and stressed that he has never said anything about joining Real in any form or shape.

"I never said I wanted to move to Real Madrid. If I did, I would have said so publicly," Ribery claimed.

"I have never said a word about not wanting to play here [at Bayern]."

Ribery declined to delve into any of the transfer rumours that have linked him to a big number of European giants, and is adamant that he is neither flattered nor comforted by the speculation as he has not heard about any official moves for him.

"Right now, I will not lose sleep until I see an offer. I have also been linked with Manchester United, Chelsea and Barcelona," the Frenchman added.

"The only thing certain, right now, is that I am a Bayern Munich player and the club really want me to stay."

Ribery's comments are in contrast to those made recently by his agent, Alain Migliaccio, who stated, "Franck [Ribery] would rather play for Real Madrid than Barcelona, and the player has spoken to Zinedine Zidane."
